Launnie Community Kitchen

Launnie Community Kitchen aims to foster togetherness and inclusivity by hosting monthly vegetarian pay-as-you-feel dinners, prepared by volunteers using locally sourced ingredients, mostly from harvest market, community gardens and local plastic free shops.

Our primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where people from all walks of life can gather, engage in meaningful conversations, and collaborate to drive positive change within our community.

The pay-as-you-feel concept allows guests to contribute to the dinner based on their individual means, with no minimum amount required. By doing so, we aspire to support local community gardens, projects, and shops while ensuring accessibility to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances.

The idea was inspired by similar projects, one in Australia called Lentil As Anything and one in Denmark called One Bowl.

We believe that the Launnie Community Kitchen has the potential to inspire others and have a lasting impact on our community. We would be honored if you could join us in spreading the word about our project through a feature story.
